It was in 2009 when we caught the travel bug. We had taken our son to Washington D.C and since then we have been slowly travelling the United States taking in the beauty, enjoying new experiences, and learning things about ourselves and our relationship.
We are Chris and Janet Strode and at the young age of 20, we decided to get married and over the past decade we have not only had to grow up together but truly learn each other. What we have realized is that travelling has taught us so much about ourselves and has made our relationship stronger. Growing up in a rural town in Tennessee, we did not have the opportunity to travel and we decided we wanted more for our children; therefore we have become a travelling family. It is not about taking large or expensive vacations, we have realized that life is about teaching our kids that even going to a park a few miles up the street that there is always something to learn, a new experience to be taken in, and a new memory to be made.
People often ask us about our adventures, for our itineraries, or advice about travelling, so we decided to start a blog to share our experiences with friends and family. Also, we hope to help someone with planning a vacation or maybe just inspire them go and experience the world one place at a time.
