On our way to Shiloh Battlefield, we found this little hole in the wall that is a “blast from the past.” Kokomo’s 50’s Diner in Adamsville, Tennessee is a must if you are ever in the area. This is the ultimate road trip stop and, from the food to all the pictures of Elvis and Marilyn, this is exactly what you would imagine when you think of a 50’s diner.
Kokomo’s 50’s Diner is located at 740 Hwy 64 Adamsville, Tennessee and is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 11 am-8pm.
The 50’s decor is amazing, the pink flamingos, the jukebox in the back corner, and nostalgia pictures everywhere make it a fun place to eat.
There are maybe six formica tables with chrome chairs that add so much character. The bathroom doors have Elvis for the gentlemen and Marilyn for the Ladies.
There is so much detail that has went into the decor.
The booths are made up of old car seats. We sat in the booth that is the back of a pink Cadillac.
You cannot have a 50’s diner without malts and shakes! I had the caramel malt and oh my was it delicious!
He had the marshmallow shake with chocolate ice cream!
The food is very reasonably priced. The burgers and sandwiches are about $4 each and then you buy your fries separate which is $3. So,if you get a burger, fries, and a shake it is about $9. They have a dessert menu that is just a long as the main menu, as well.
This is a fun little stop that I would recommend to anyone. Even if you are not hungry, the shakes and malts are worth the stop!
