Burger Up is a small, local restaurant that we found about five years ago.  Over the years, we have frequently came back to eat here, therefore, we thought it deserved a blog post.  Burger Up opened around 2010, and it is a very popular place to eat.  I would recommend going early on the weekends or through the week.  Their menu mainly consists of Burgers, but they have other great options as well. They are vegetarian and gluten free friendly, offering quinoa burgers and gluten free buns.  All their menu items come from local farmers in the surrounding Tennessee area.  Burger Up has some of the best food that we have ever eaten, I would highly recommend at least trying it out to see for yourself.

Burger up is located at 2901 12th Avenue South in Nashville. It is actually on the corner of 12th and Paris Ave. They are open daily from 11am-10pm.
When you are seated, you do not have individual tables. They have long picnic-like tables in the middle of the room and then tables that are spread out along the wall. Therefore, if you are seated in the center, the people on either side of you will be complete strangers. This was very strange to me at first, however, we have eaten here so much that I have grown accustomed to it.
They also have a bar that you can opt to sit at. The decor has a very warm feel to it, all of the wood that is used for the bar and the tables is from a local lumbar yard. One of the co-founder’s built the tables and stools himself.
Seen here is a turkey burger with their famous sweet potato fries. You cannot eat at Burger Up and not get the sweet potato fries. Out of all of the places we have ever eat at, no sweet potato fries compare to these. They also make their own ketchup and honey mustard sauce.
Seen here is another turkey burger and onion rings. Burger up is a little on the pricey side, however it is worth every penny. A burger is about $12-15 and the fries are $4. So you are looking at about $20 per person to eat. They have a pitcher of water on the table that you refill your own glass with and when you get low, and they refill the pitcher for you.
Burger Up is by far one our favorite places to eat in the Middle Tennessee area. We highly recommend eating here and it is a great place to go for a date night.
Burger Up has the best sweet potato fries in Middle Tennessee!
