Shaffer Farms is by far is the closest that we have found to Texas BBQ. It is located in Summertown, Tennessee. It is a custom meat shop, as well as a very small restaurant that serves awesome melt-in-your-mouth Brisket, BBQ Chicken, potato salad, three different types of beans, corn on the cob, sweet tea, and lemonade. It is out in the middle of nowhere, so I would suggest using google maps, but it is worth the drive. It is not very expensive and the portion size is enough where you do not leave hungry.

It is a very small place but worth the drive!!The meat counter where you can buy all kinds of meat. Also, their BBQ sauce is delicious. They make it with Jack Daniels Whiskey and you can buy a bottle to take home with you, which we do every time we go!Homemade jams and jellies.The guy that checked us out.
